Urgent Theft Update
In the past few weeks, we’ve seen a worrying increase in plant theft in and around two regions.
Firstly – Yorkshire and East Midlands area (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire)
We have seen a large increase in thefts of small machinery but especially small twin-drum Rollers 80 and 120 models. We believe an OCG (organised crime group) with links to Doncaster and Nottinghamshire are involved.
Secondly – Hampshire and Surrey
There has been an increase in the number of small plant machinery being stolen, recently by means of Hiab crane lifting them onto a vehicle.
If you or your business have any plant in this area, please be extra vigilant in securing your machines and sites. Please also check the battery status of your CanTrack Protect units to ensure, in the unfortunate case of theft, we can locate and secure your machines as quickly as possible.
